Olive Garden's Pasta for Pennies
Students in select market areas can collect pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters during the 13th annual Pasta for Pennies national fundraising campaign sponsored by Olive Garden Italian Restaurant and benefiting the Society.
The class at each school collecting the most money received a Hospitaliano Pasta Party lunch courtesy of the Olive Garden. As with the Pennies for Patients campaign, prizes such as computers, electronics and sports equipment are presented to the top schools in each area.
Olive Garden supports the program in several ways. In addition to providing the pasta party for each winning class, Olive Garden also hosts kickoff luncheons for representatives of participating schools in each city and provides marketing materials and marketing support for the program. The Pasta for Pennies campaign began in 1994 in the Society's Central Florida Chapter.
This program is currently being offered in the following Society chapter area:
Desert Mountain States
Eastern North Carolina
Greater Los Angelos
Rocky Mountain (CO, WY)
Southern New Jersey
Texas Gulf Coast
The Orange Inland Empire (CA)
Western North Carolina
Western PA/West VA
All Society chapters offer the alternative Pennies for Patients program.
