Pennies for Patients: Kids making BIG change by collecting SMALL change Pennies for Patients is a service learning, character education and philanthropy program that gives students a unique experience making a difference through teamwork—working together to aid thousands of children and adults in the fight blood cancers like leukemia. How it Works: Students collect spare change over a three-week period during February or March. The change can come from friends or relatives or underneath the couch cushions. What's important is that the change is collected. Why it's Easy: LLS provides everything your school needs to run the program, including: - Lesson plans that meet service learning and character education standards
- Classroom collection boxes
- Individual collection boxes
- Educational video
- Prizes and awards for classrooms and schools
- Opportunity for an educational kickoff assembly
Register today! We're hoping that you will join schools across North America & Canada in teaching kids what it means to save lives by making change!
